Does Bumle Bjørn cost anything?

You can download for free and use 2 categories (Animals and Colors and Shapes) plus 3 game modes. Bumle+ unlocks all 21 categories, all 7 game modes, unlimited voice recordings and voice-package sharing. Bumle+ is a one-time payment, not a subscription.

Is Bumle an AAC app like Balubi?

No. AAC stands for Augmentative and Alternative Communication, for children without spoken language. Bumle helps children learn words and pronunciation, especially useful for parents with a dialect or speech therapists working on articulation.

How does voice-package sharing work?

You record audio in the app, tap «Share package», and get one .bumlepack file. Send it via AirDrop, iMessage, email or save in Files. The recipient taps the file, recordings are imported into their Bumle. Nothing goes through our servers.

Where are recordings and photos stored?

Only locally on your iPhone, encrypted with a device-specific key. Bumle Bjørn never sends recordings to our or third-party servers.

Are there ads or tracking?

No. No ads, no third-party SDKs, no tracking. Bumle is approved for the App Store Kids Category.

Which languages are supported?

9 languages: Norwegian (Bokmål), Danish, Swedish, Finnish, English, German, French, Spanish and Dutch. The whole app, not just menus.

What age is the app for?

1 to 8 years. Younger children use simple modes like «Listen and find» and «Explore», older children can use memory, counting and «Find in the picture». Difficulty adapts automatically.
